Tagging your content is important. It allows you to tell the search and recommendation engine what is important in your document, as well as allowing the curation and integration with other Arm websites.
The search indexes the full text, but by adding tags to your content, you can emphasise what is the most important in your content.
The tag service is built deeply into the Arm Community member experience in ways you're probably already familiar with, helping to organise or locate content to create and incorporate discussions. When you click a tag, you are served up all content using the same tag. This information can deepen understanding and inspire more interaction with the community. Tagging contributes to community participation by linking discussions across the community, encouraging topic exploration.
All content needs to be tagged including discussions. Community owners scan through their community to clean up, correct and add tags accordingly but it is up to us all to help.
As a guideline, using at least three (3) tags will help your content become more searchable and useful to your fellow community members.
