Community Guidelines

The goal of the Arm Community is to help developers within the Arm Ecosystem to find and share the information they need to do their jobs more effectively.

There are more than 1,200 partners in the Arm Ecosystem, this community is designed to help you find the right ones for your needs. It will also help answer some basic questions such as "how do I get started with Arm" as well as more complicated technical questions that are specific to the Arm architecture. Best practices will be surfaced as well as the ability to easily search the site for content, people, and communities relevant to what you are interested in. Content will be shared with a combination of Arm employees, Arm Partners, advocates, and developers.

Basic guidelines have been established to ensure that Arm Community is useful for - and respectful of - all our users. Please interact with other users accordingly and conduct yourself as you would in any professional, business setting. The Arm Community site is intended for business and professional use and your use of the Arm Community is subject to these Community Guidelines and the Terms of Use.

We hope you enjoy visiting Arm Community, return often, and become an active member and frequent contributor.

Keep it clean, keep it professional

Every post should make a positive contribution and should be suitable for all users who can view it. The Arm Community is open to all points of view on intended business-related topics; mature, polite debate is encouraged. We will however remove any post or reply that includes solicitation, derogatory, abusive, offensive, obscene, violent or inappropriate content of any kind. Always interact with other users respectfully, as you would in any professional setting.

  1. You are personally responsible for your postings, so ensure they are accurate and appropriate.
  2. Speak as yourself; don't act differently just because you are online.
  3. Manage your time appropriately. Do not let your job suffer because you spend too much time in social networking environments.
  4. Do follow your respective corporate conduct policies, standards and procedures.
  5. Do not abuse other's copyrights by using their material without appropriate permission and attribution.
  6. Do not release company confidential information, or any information that would be considered personal, private or security related.
  7. Do not store, post, acquire or in any way use illegal or inappropriate files or information.

Be honest, be yourself

The Arm Community is intended to be used for the helpful exchange of information between members. False, inaccurate, or otherwise misleading information is not helpful. Please be sincere in your community participation by only contributing valid, useful content.

  1. There is no place for inappropriate comments.
  2. Consider that the people you encounter may be from different companies and countries and have different policies, approaches and customs.
  3. Do not ignite online arguments; they are counterproductive.
  4. Profile photos should be business appropriate and suitable for the purposes of physical identification.

Respect the privacy of others

It is up to you, and only you, to decide whether or not to share personal information about yourself or your business.

Please do not post or send a reply that includes another user's postal or email addresses, phone numbers, or other contact information.

Help look after your community

Communities and groups are established for the benefit and enjoyment of members like you. If you notice content that does not align with the Community Guidelines or Terms of Use, please report it to our site moderators by selecting "Report to a moderator".

  1. Do participate when you have something useful to offer.
  2. Support others when you observe them doing something good.
  3. Do not be anonymous; always use your own identity.
