What’s happening and why?

Arm’s mission is to make it easy to innovate and develop products using Arm technologies. Part of this mission involves helping customers, partners and potential users discover technologies, new products and resources to aid their innovation.

As digital sites and partner requirements change, so too is the Arm Connected Community. Starting in early December, the Arm Connected Community is changing publishing platforms, moving from Jive Software to Telligent. It’s also being rebranded as the Arm Community.

Arm’s digital strategy has been to create a unified platform to integrate content sources to improve the process of discovery, education and training. The Arm Connected Community was a standalone site, and this shift will provide for the community to be tightly integrated to other Arm websites to provide a better user experience.

What is the benefit for us in new Community?

Arm’s digital strategy is to create a unified digital platform to integrate content sources to improve the process of discovery, education and training. The existing Arm Connected Community, though robust and active, remained a silo and cannot be easily integrated into other Arm digital platforms. The new platform enables such integration.

In addition, the new platform makes content creation and sharing much easier.

Why has the name changed?

The Arm Connected Community will be called the Arm Community, which is aligned with our other sites, such as Arm Careers and Arm Developer.

What are the goals of the move?

  • Extend the reach and increase engagement with our developer, customer and partner ecosystem using online communities.
  • Deliver an easier, cleaner and more integrated content-creation and consumption environment for users, partners and employees who deliver content into the community.
  • Integrate the current stand-alone digital nature of the Connected Community deeply with arm.com and developer.arm.com to create a powerful, personalised integrated content experience.

Will the Community be translated into other languages?

The Arm Community is available in US English, simplified Chinese and traditional Chinese at launch. The translation extends to site furniture and navigation, but content will always be in the language it is written in. We support a global Community in English and a Chinese Community in simplified Chinese.

As our Digital Strategy develops will we assess priorities for other translation pieces based on demand.
