Downloading Plugins and configuration hangs on Edge and Chrome browsers. HELP please

trying to move from MBED online compiler to ARM Keil Studio.   the install process hangs.  I also sometimes get a single word web page "unauthorized"  MBED online goes away at the end of the year.  I need to migrate.  thanks in advance for any help.

    also, if it helps, the button on the bottom of the keil.arm.com web site that says "Detect Hardware using WebUSB" does not find my board which is connected and running.  the board is an STM Nucleo F411RE
