Hi all,
There is a need for compilation of structure that contains more than 7 MB of data. MDK-ARM (Professional, version 5.12.0.0) stops working after compilation, though a binary file is successfully created. As one can understand from Keil site there is a limitation: an output file nor grater than 4 megabytes can be generated. It was practically checked that in case when data did not exceed 4 megabytes, compilation finished successfully with no failure of Keil's work but adding data over 4 MB leads to failure. However, it must exist some ways to bypass this restriction. Could someone tell how to compile such huge data, please?
Thanks in advance!
I in the same situation as in Tetyana, and I think you're right, the problem is not in the compiler. I use the comand D:\Keil\ARM\ARMCC\bin\fromelf.exe --bincombined --bincombined_base=0x00000 --bin Objects\XXXX_ST.axf --output Objects\XXXX_STbin, to generate a binary file with font, string and icons, if my otput file is less than 7 MB Keil work perfectly, But if I add all the necessary files to me, and compiling progect IDE has stopped working after compiling. I have a two output binary file, they are have a good structure(all what i need, binary file with icons and string have size 8,2 MB). But after that i can't open my project, i always see window "IDE stopped work". If I want open this project and work with him i must open the folder with project, and deleted all "object file", and "build file". Any way it inconvenient.
Maybe you have some tips or solutions.
One interesting detail, today i create the same project in Keil uVision 4, and after compiling my project his create two binary file one of them 8.3MB(icon,fonts) and work good after that(don't stop working). As i understand this is a bug of IDE or something else. Can i fix it yourself? Sorry for my bad english. BR Ratibor
