IAR c an, so I guess Keil can too ....

IAR can, so I guess Keil can too: generate a checksum at the end of the .hex file.

I have, with the usual succes (none), tried to browse the Keil manuals, and, as always, the info is probably there, just impossible to find.

So, if anyone know how to make Keil insert a checksum (matching Cortex CRC) in the file, I'd like to know how.

in adavance, thanx,

  • It is common practice to checksum your .hex file thus the functionality should be included.

if Keil should not include checksumming because Srecord can do it, they should not include an editor because CodeWright can do it, no hex2Bin because Srecord can do it, no bin2hex because Srecord can do it, no .....

I think Srecord is great with one huge exception: it can do so much that it takes a long time to figure out how to do the subset of it's functionality you need.
