IAR can, so I guess Keil can too: generate a checksum at the end of the .hex file.
I have, with the usual succes (none), tried to browse the Keil manuals, and, as always, the info is probably there, just impossible to find.
So, if anyone know how to make Keil insert a checksum (matching Cortex CRC) in the file, I'd like to know how.

... they should not include an editor because CodeWright can do it, no hex2Bin because Srecord can do it, no bin2hex because Srecord can do it ...
Oh yes, I totally agree! I use Source Insight for editor (wonderful program, by the way), Makefile for building. An IDE is for the novice, and that would be a major reason to keep it.
