Android Wear OS difference

Hi Experts,

What is the key difference between Android Wear OS and android for phone ?

Does the underlying kernel also changes for the same ?

Is there any development platform at cheaper price to get started with  porting of the Android Wear OS ?

    I've used Moto G (Android) as well as Apple Watch (iOS). Based on my experience the functionality of both is pretty much the same. Obviously both had a different UI based on it's operating system but then it all boils down to it's functionality so it's nothing but just preference of people whether to go with iOS or an Android wear. Nothing more :)
