ulink can't install ,my usb interface is 1.1 not usb 2.0 ,please help me!
Thanks for the above reply, I've gone through that. When i get to: - Locate Driver Files - Specify a location. Select the file KeilUL.INF for the Keil ULINK Adapter. This file can be found on a Keil Development Tools CD-ROM in the folder Keil\Setup\Driver\Drivers. I do locate it, select it, and still get the message: This Driver is not sutied for this device. (i've tried it even with the drivers I've optained from this site the inf.) Thanks for your help. I did get mine to work on another computer similar setup to mine, not sure why it works on system but not another.
It's a problem only with Windows XP with Service Pack 2. ULINK functional with Windows XP without Servicepack.
This seems to be a problem with the .inf-File (timestamp 20021108). I've had the same problem with the ULINK on a PC using W2k SP4 (no problems with a XP SP2-PC used for testing). Even bought an additional PCI-USB-Card for tests. After patching the .inf-File the ULINK has been detected when connected to an onboard USB1.1 or one of the extension card's USB2.0-connectors.
how do you patch the inf file ? I just checked all the inf files and are all the same date you mentioned :(
You need to have following files on your computer: C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\KeilUL.SYS C:\Windows\inf\KeilUL.INF These files are typically installed already by the Keil SETUP program. When you then proceed as explained in: http://www.keil.com/support/docs/2937.htm it should work OK. If it fails, you should make sure that you have administration rights on your computer and that your system is using the standard Windows folder structure. Reinhard
i've downloaded the 2937.zip many times and reinstalled the software many times too, follwing the direction on that link you gave me. no luck the file inside that zip is dated: Thursday, November 28, 2002, 2:41:26 PM . There is no newer version ? Thanks for your help.
There is no newer *.INF file. What message do you exactly get? Maybe you send screen shots to support.intl@keil.com. Reinhard
Sam, Sorry if my message implied that the "patch" is an offical one available from Keil. By patching I meant that I've written a new inf-file based on the Keil ulink-inf-file, inf-files from other USB-devices and information from MSDN. Reinhard, I've had the same problem as Sam described. I have been logged in as "Administrator" and the filesystem is standard W2k. Only with the modified inf-file the OS detected and installed the ULINK-driver. OT: There is an issue with the current demo-version and the online-help. Everything works as expected with WinXP but on my W2K-System I can not view the content. Error: The page can not be shown ("Die Seite kann nicht angezeigt werden"). Martin Thomas
Hi Thomas, what is different in the *.INF file that you are using. We only have one KeilUL.INF file version dated 28.11.2002. Also which on-line help pages cannot be viewed. Reinhard
I had/have the same problem. After following every possible combination of all the instructions on the site, I turned to the MSDN site to learn how to write a USB inf driver file. Turns out, I believe the keilul.inf file is missing the ClassGuid parameter which appears to be required under SP2. I added the following line: ClassGuid={36fc9e60-c465-11cf-8056-444553540000} after Class=USB, and at least the driver now installs. You might have to right click on the file and say install to get windows to find it. I'll be calling tech support tomorrow to figure out if this is a legitimate thing to do and to look for an official update.
Many thanks to Mr. Matt Dushek ! Now is my debugger in function, the System is now looking for Keil ULINK. And now it works now fine ! King regards Johann F. Engl
Many thanks to Mr. Matt Dushek !
works now, thanks a bunch.
We have created an setup that updates the ULINK drivers. Please see: http://www.keil.com/support/docs/2937.htm Reinhard
