Standard Peripheral Library and HALL drives

Hello
Please advise how to switch from HALL drives to Standard Peripheral Library
rEGARDS
tED

  • Do you mean the ST Standard Peripheral Library and the ST HAL drivers?

If so, note that these are entirely ST's own things - nothing to do with Keil.

But it's really just a matter of Please read the manual for each HAL function you use, and then Please read the manual to find the corresponding Standard Peripheral Library function(s).

Note that the Standard Peripheral Library tends to be at a somewhat lower level of abstraction.

Why do you want to do this?

Note that, nowadays, ST have the LL (Low-Layer) library - which is intended to be used with the HAL.

But, again, this is entirely ST's own thing; nothing to do with Keil - so you should be going to ST for support ...

  • Hi
When I copy and paste this program ( the rirst one with 285 lines)
    embeddedsystemengineering.blogspot.ca/.../arm-cortex-m3-stm32f103-project-dsp.html
    I have an error:
fatal error: stm32f10x.h: No such file or directory
/Src/main.c(2): error: #5: cannot open source input file "stm32f10x_rcc.h": No such file or directory
How to solve the problem ?
The reason for switching: I was told that mentioned program it is not for HAL drivers but
    for ST Standard Peripheral Library
I don't see here an option to attach screenshot.

Do you mean the ST Standard Peripheral Library and the ST HAL drivers? - yes

  • So does that file actually exist on your PC?

    " ... I was told ... "

    Who told you that?

Why don't you get them to clarify what they said?

  • Yes I have installed Standard Peripheral Library but I have problem to use it.
If you can reply to my email korted@rogers.com I will be able to send to you
    screenshot.
