Hi,
We are trying to print strings in multiple languages.
But is it found that the strings are getting corrupted once they enter the standard print function. This may be because the strings are in different scripts. (Eg Russian language needs Cyrillic script) There is no such issue with English Language strings.
We have tried changing the encoding of the editor from ANSI to UTF-8 but still the problem persists.
Can you please guide us on the same?
Regards.
I am trying to display this data on an LCD. So once I put lcd_puts("açik") somehitng like this, on step in, I see a corrupted string.
DOES YOUR DISPLAY EVEN SUPPORT THESE OTHER LANGUAGES?
Display is a dumb device. So it will just display the given bitmap. This is related to displaying of different fonts on LCD. Has anyone done this previously?
WHY DIDN'T YOU MENTION IT WAS A DUMB DISPLAY BEFORE?
WHAT STRING ***IS*** BEING SENT TO THE FUNCTION (THE ONE BEING RECEIVED)
AND YOU HAVE NOT MENTIONED WHAT IS TRANSLATING THE STRING TO A BITMAP. WAKE UP MAN!
Find or *create* a font file, or bitmap, that supports the character set you want to use.
I painted bitmaps and character set fonts to displays when I was 14, and created graphics and font tables.
