I am using LPC1788 with RL-ARM & Keil MDK4. I am using the RL Flash File System with a NAND Flash.
I have created a folder & successfully added several .txt files in it. Now i want to delete all the files in that folder in one go.
I am using the below statement
fdelete ("N:\\LIST1\\"), but not able to delete the files in the folder.
Is it possible to delete the files in a folder in this way?
Most file system implementations don't do this level of clean up as in bulks up the library unnecessarily for everyone. You should enumerate through the directory content, deleting as you go, and descending into subdirectories below, recursing down as necessary. Once done, then you can delete the empty directory. If you don't like recursion, build a FIFO list of things to visit next as you traverse the tree.
Learn to stop being reliant on others to explain what can and can't be done, do some simple experiments to probe what is possible, and ways to work around limitations.
For your kind information, i am already working around with a solution, deleting the files one by one from the directory.I came to the forum to ask why i was not able to delete entire directory in one go(Is it not a valid enough question?).
I am not asking for you for code or direct help, it is just a query ,for which i was expecting a solution or a healthy discussion.
With all due respect, learn to become polite & respect everyone's view point.
