I'm using an older version of uVision, 4.72, but that's the most recent version my license works with. For some reason, the flash programming algorithm I select (every time I start uVision) works, but when I exit the IDE and then restart it the debugger settings show that no algorithm is selected, so I have to select it every time I start uVision. That's not how uVision has worked for years for me, but that's what it's doing now. Can anyone tell me what file this setting is supposed to be saved in, or offer any help in getting this behavior to work right again?

It is saved in the project file. After changing it explicitly close the project, and then reopen it.
Can't say I've seen uV4.7x version failing to do this. Make sure the project is not Read-Only

I don't know what to say... the feature just started working normally again. I didn't do anything different, but the selected algorithm (which may be none) gets saved every time I close the IDE and properly restored every time I open it, even if I don't explicitly do a 'save all' or 'project save'. I had been trying 'save all' to make it 'stick', but I had not tried 'project save'. Does 'save all' do a 'project save' too?
