Hello.
Does <Mali-T7xx/Mali-T8xx series> support "Vulkan"?
I wonder if <Mali Graphics Debugger v3.4> supports "Vulkan".
Vulkan supports the driver in <r10p0>?
Thank you!
Hi furamb,
We have not released the Vulkan driver for Mali GPUs yet, so no it is not in the already released r10p0 driver.
As for which GPU series will support it, we cannot say for certain until we pass conformance tests, so please check back for updates on that.

Regarding MGD, you are correct that v3.4 does indeed support the Vulkan API.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to ask.

Samsung just stated S7 (unpacked event) is shipping with Vulkan support, that's a bit confusing since driver is not yet released
Update: hmm.. Samsung statement "shipping with Vulkan support" seems misleading since S7 is shipping with r9p0, which doesn't have Vulkan support: http://i.imgur.com/ePhWWp1h.jpg
Sorry, we're not able to comment on unreleased partner devices, you'll just have to wait and see .

Hi zxcvbad, furamb,
Please see this video for details: Khronos Vulkan API - ARM explains the benefits for developers - YouTube
The ARM Mali T760 and newer GPUs will support Vulkan.
Great to see it's confirmed. I was thinking more about r9p0 on S7 Vulkan supported and already released r10p0 Vulkan unsupported puzzle, I guess the answer is in internal fork/developed side by side. we'll find out soon
Update: Being able to find out Vulkan driver version used in S7: 621.833.2219 I wonder how long it'll take to get API version updated from 0.0.1 to 1.0.2 or later, it seems lots of features are unsupported on 0.0.1: http://i.imgur.com/EvidlcM.jpg
Obviously, we can't speak for our partners on matters of driver updates or release schedules.
If you were determined to get further information you'd have to seek it from Samsung.
