Firefly fbdev drivers

[I originally posted this as a comment on https://community.arm.com/groups/arm-mali-graphics/blog/2015/10/28/improving-mali-drivers-on-fbdev but it was suggested that I might get a faster response here.]

Are userspace binaries for Firefly using the generic FBIOGET_DMABUF ioctl available anywhere?

I appreciate that existing kernels for the platform will not support this, but we are prepared to make any necessary changes to the kernel if it means that we can get decent graphics performance without being tied to Android.

Thanks,

John

  • Hi John,

They should be released imminently, we just had to slightly delay the release but no blocking issue.  I'll post another comment here once the drivers are available with some relevant information on how to get the kernel-side updated to enable the dma-buf ioctl.

    Best wishes,

    Guillaume
