wi.fi does not work on the arm chromebook with kernel 3.8.11 ?

Hello.

I would like to know if the wi.fi does work on the ARM chromebook with kernel 3.8.11 ? I ask it because I followed this tutorial very carefully,but after that I have installed and configured ubuntu following this tutorial

-> http://malideveloper.arm.com/develop-for-mali/features/graphics-and-compute-development-on-samsung-chromebook/

I've found that the wi-fi does not work. I don't know why.

  • Hi marietto,

    If you are using the Ubuntu version in the guide, then this is a userspace issue; udev is not recent enough in that distro for the wifi card to work. The kernel side is working however and we have it working internally using Arch Linux, so I'd recommend trying that, or a more recent version of Ubuntu i.e. Ubuntu 13.10.

    Hope this helps,

    Chris
