Hello,
I'm using streamline 8.1.0, free evaluation. And I use the Odroid xu4 with GPU Mali T628, kernel version 4.14.180.
I want to get the OpenCL kernel performance on GPU, such as cl_timeline, bandwidth, and so on. I copied the gator under the folder ...\Development Studio 2022.1\sw\streamline\bin\linux\arm on board and ran the streamline.
I got the capture like this:
But it doesn't have the opencl mode, which shows more kernel details, like the below image I found online:
How can I do to get this mode?
Thanks a lot.
Which Mali driver version do you have on the board?
I can't remember if the OpenCL timeline needs special driver build options - I'll find out. However, please note that Mali-T620 is old enough that we don't officially support it in Streamline any more.
Hi Peter,
Thanks for your reply. It's the driver Mali Midgard. I forgot its version, I'll check it tomorrow.
Its version is Mali Midgard r12p0-04rel0. It's really old. Should I rebuild with a newer version? Could you let me know if you find the special driver build options? Thanks a lot.
In addition, should I rebuild the kernel if I update the Mali driver?
Best wishes,
Ran
You'll need a matching user-space driver from the board manufacturer. The kernel driver by itself is insufficient.
