There are a few days, I received my kit DiY for build an oscilloscope.
For sure I'm not hurry it comes from china more than 1 month for the delivery...
If I make this page it's because this project interest me, of course this build project DIY has an ARM processor.
A cortex M3 STM32F103c8T6 from STMicroelectronics for more specifications read this link :

The first step is of course to control the content of the package and check there's no pieces missing.
And the all, with sorting and clearly identifying the components.
The preparation of the working environment is also very important .
A good lighting, being sure to be at quiet and with a good ventilation especially for welding fumes.
If like me you are not a pro of soldering, take your time. A project carried out in haste, never gives anything good !
As you can see in this picture. I had to resume SMD soldered too quickly made...
Once the SMD components properly placed , we will tackle the 'classic' components
In this photo : the back of the PCB before soldering. You will note the stalks bent to hold everything in place
Here we are! The resistors are all in place...
Let's go for the capacitors...
Next step, the transistors and led to be continued...
It's worth getting a cheap ESD mat and wrist strap for doing things like that. There's lots of youtube videos about it which hopefully will inspire the fear of God in you about static.
Plus there's less chance of burning a hole in the tablecloth
