Arm DevSummit 2021 call for papers now open

May 19, 2021

On October 19-21, Arm DevSummit 2021 returns virtually to the Arm community. We would like to invite you to submit a proposal to speak in our second year through the call for papers which is open now until June 4.

Why submit?

This virtual event is one of the only conferences worldwide where software and hardware engineers come together to unlock the power of technology. Two key cornerstones of the event are our on-demand technical sessions that help engineers and developers solve real-world problems and our live expert-led workshops that teach best practices and implementations on Arm-based solutions.

In 2020, DevSummit hosted talks by Arm partners including Microsoft, Amazon, Google, Linaro, and Arduino. We provided our 4,500+ attendees hands-on experiences such as deploying containers on Docker, implementing augmented reality with Unity, and securing automotive realms with Tier IV.

DevSummit speaker benefits

As a DevSummit 2021 speaker, you will lead technical sessions and workshops to help the broader Arm ecosystem gain new knowledge, enabling them to develop high-performing Arm-based devices. Attendees also meet and collaborate with peers and Arm experts developing the software and hardware, tools, and services they build with every day. And peers and experts will use this inspiration and knowledge that they gather to build, optimize, and troubleshoot their next projects.

Do not miss the chance to reach a passionate and attentive audience and tap into Arm’s extensive partner ecosystem.

The tracks and process

DevSummit’s technical tracks below offer you the flexibility to bring your technical expertise to a wider Arm community:

  • Cloud Native for the Endpoint, Edge, and the Cloud
  • The Future of Mobility is Software Defined
  • Developing Interactive Consumer Experiences
  • Practical Software Development for a Productive IoT
  • AI in the Real World: From Development to Deployment
  • Hardware Design Methodology
  • Optimizing Arm Technology for HPC, Cloud and 5G Infrastructure

Full descriptions of the technical tracks can be found here.

Space is limited due to the high number of submissions, so do not wait to submit your paper. Papers will go through a selection process by an external and independent committee. These papers will be reviewed by this Technical Program Committee and are evaluated based on quality, relevance, impact, and originality.

Paper submission tips

  • Use real-life use cases and demonstrations.
  • Do not submit sales pitches. We discourage them unless they are an afterthought to broader discussions around challenges and solutions.
  • Offer actionable takeaways for attendees. What is the tangible impact of your talk on attendees and their Arm-based system design or software development efforts?
  • Present a clear focus on attendees of a specific role. Who would benefit the most from your presentation?
  • Provide guidance on necessary technical knowledge. What proficiency level is required to easily digest your presentation?
  • Offer in-demand, unique, or non-obvious design or development of an Arm-based product.
  • Submit engaging, inspiring, and fun titles and descriptions.

Do not wait

Submit your paper now for DevSummit 2021 at devsummit.arm.com. Join us in sparking the world’s developer potential. The deadline is June 4. We look forward to receiving your submission.
