Keil IDE vs Other IDEs

Hello,

I are currently using Keil IDE with STM32 L and F series for security solution in defense. we have series of products in which keil Compiler and IDE is using.

I want to shift environment from Keil into ST Cube IDE. we will have complete ST environment for development.

My query below...

1. Which environment and compiler is best for STM32 MCUs?

2. How much effort will be required to switch?

3. Any issue with Cube IDE in future.

4. Is there any comparison table b/w Keil Compiler and Cude IDE and Compiler?

If it's a defence contract, then you'll need to check whether the contract make any specific requirements.

    1. Which environment and compiler is best for STM32 MCUs?

"best" is meaningless without a set of criteria by which to judge it - so what are your particular criteria for a "good" IDE?

    3. Any issue with Cube IDE in future.

    Sorry, I don't have a crystal ball.

    2. How much effort will be required to switch?

Much the same as for porting from any other IDE.

You'd need to ask ST if they have any tools or support for doing that.
