I am trying to learn with ARM, and I have downloaded the toolchain .tar and extracted it to my home directory on Ubuntu 16.04 64bit. As you know, GNU GCC is already on the system. I do not know what to do now, I see no step by step instructions on the developer.arm.com. I know some linux basics but I'm not a master at it, so excuse me if the next steps are standard knowledge for hardcore linux users. I am a little lost. Thanks, Chumbi
For baremetal tools:
sudo apt-get install gcc-arm-none-eabi binutils-arm-none-eabi gdb-arm-none-eabi openocd
Thank yo uso much! Worked like a charm.
Hi,For my part I like to install ubuntu directly on the test board and compile everything in native mode, when it's possible.
How to install it on Ubuntu 20.04 LTS?
Try google or your favorite web search. You'll get plenty of hits.
