Purpose of this workshop

Semiconductors are an essential component of electronic devices. They enable electronic products to compute and control actions that simplify our lives. The key areas like, Industrial, Automotive, Computers and Peripherals are witnessing wide range of applications increasingly using semiconductors to drive this massive demand. Semiconductor chips are the life force of the modern information age.

The Government of India is focused on building an overall semiconductor ecosystem to catalyze India’s rapidly expanding electronics manufacturing industries. These efforts will enable India’s emergence as a global hub for electronics manufacturing and design.

All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of Education, India, Arm Education, and STMicroelectronics with support from Cadence are organizing the 3rd edition of the faculty workshop to capture this momentum and give insights on the latest technologies that have great potential for future engineers. The workshop aims to strengthen the Government of India’s mission to create a talent pool in the semiconductor domain.

This 5-day virtual workshop will take you through the VLSI SoC silicon design steps to Industry 4.0 end-use applications.

By end of this virtual workshop, you will know more about:

  • Silicon design: VLSI flow, digital design and architecture, verification and testing
  • Embedded design: embedded basics and ecosystem
  • Industry 4.0 real-life use cases

The participation for this workshop is free.

  • To receive a digital participation certificate, the participants - faculty members, teaching assistants, and research students must attend all five days of the workshop. Our registration form will collect some data needed for issuing the certificate.
