Dr.T G Sitharam was the Director of Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, Assam for 3.5 years (from July 2019 to December, 2022). He Obtained his B.E.(Civil Engineering) from University of Mysore; Master’s from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore in 1986 and Ph.D. from University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada in 1991. He worked as a lecture at University of Waterloo soon after his PhD and later moved to University of Texas at Austin, Austin, Texas, USA (1992-94). He also held the position of Director (additional charge) at Central Institute of Technology Kokrajhar, Assam for 1.5 years (May 2021-November 2022). Presently, he is the Chairman, Board of Governors at CIT, Kokrajhar and Chairman, Board of Management of North East Regional Institute of Science and Technology (NERIST), Nirjuli, Arunachala Pradesh.

 Khaled has 20+ years’ experience in developing and executing business development strategies and plans for education and research at a global level. Prior to joining Arm Ltd in 2013, he was a UK based academic for 13 years, teaching, researching, and leading in the areas of computer science and electronics engineering. Khaled supervised 15+ successful PhD research projects during his academic career and co/authored 100+ publications in major international conferences and journals.

During his tenure at Arm, Khaled set up the global Arm University Program, the Arm School Program, and Arm Education Media. Together, these programs are educating and training hundreds of thousands of students globally every year, bridging the education/skills gaps in STEM and computer engineering, and equipping the next generation of engineers for the challenges of the modern economy.

Jaswinder S. Ahuja is Corporate Vice President – International Headquarters and the Managing Director of Cadence Design Systems in India. He is responsible for leading and expanding Cadence’s International Headquarters in Ireland and provide oversight to Cadence’s International business strategy and operations. Jaswinder also leads Cadence’s Global Customer Support and Educational Services Business. Jaswinder started his career with Cadence in 1988 as a software engineer, he has led the India operations since 1996 and has assumed leadership of the International Headquarters in 2021.

Cadence is a founding member of the VLSI Society of India (VSI) and Jaswinder served as its President from 2011 to 2018. He was conferred the Lifetime Achievement Award by the VSI Society of India in January 2018 to acknowledge his leadership and many noteworthy contributions to the semiconductor ecosystem in India. He has also received the Distinguished Alumnus Award from IIT-BHU. Jaswinder was Chairman of the India Electronics and Semiconductor Association (IESA) in 2008-09 and has also served as a member of the Executive Council several times. Currently, he serves on the Governing Council of Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) and is on the board of Electropreneur Park, the first ESDM (Electronic System Design and Manufacturing) incubator in India. Jaswinder is also a mentor and advisor to several start-ups.
