Hi,
The problem is shown above.
Also I can't get 30 day free experience as well.
Reguards.
HiMy name is Stephen and I work at Arm.Licenses for DS-5 are no longer available because DS-5 has been superseded by Arm Development Studio ("Arm DS").30-day evaluation licenses for Arm DS are available. Within Arm DS, use Help > Arm License Manager to obtain an evaluation license. I tested this myself with Arm DS 2022.2 today, and was able to obtain an evaluation license, so I believe the system is working correctly. Please could you try again to obtain an evaluation license. If you are still seeing problems, then please let us know what error messages / screen shots you are seeing and we can investigate further.Stephen
Nice to meet you, when I login with my account and click finish, nothing happened.
I don't if that means it was succeeded or not.
When I use intel cyclone V soc usb-blasterII to debug it said the license is invaild.
Hi againWithin Arm DS, open Help > Arm License Manager. Do you see an active evaluation license listed there? If not, click Add and follow the prompts to add one. You should be offered a pull-down list of network interfaces to which the license will be locked. Select one of them, then Finish. If you are still unable to obtain an evaluation license, then please send a screen shot of what you are seeing and we can investigate further.Stephen
In the last step:
When I click finish, nothing happened as said.
The license didn't show up.
It didn't send any error as well.
Hi again
From your screenshot, it looks like you are trying to obtain an evaluation licence for DS-5. Evaluation licenses for DS-5 are no longer available. DS-5 has been superseded by Arm Development Studio ("Arm DS"). Please install Arm DS 2022.2 from https://developer.arm.com/downloads/-/arm-development-studio-downloads and obtain an evaluation license for that.
Within Arm DS, open Help > Arm License Manager. Click Add and follow the prompts. You should be offered a pull-down list of network interfaces to which the license will be locked. Select one of them, then Finish.
Hope this helps
Stephen
I successfully apply the 30-offer at DS 2022.2,
But when I use debug for cyclone V soc development kit I got the error:
Do you know why?
Thank you for your help.
Reguards,
Alex
Hi AlexGlad to hear you've now obtained an evaluation license successfully, but sorry you've hit another problem.Open Help > Arm License Manager. Under "Active Product", is "Arm Development Studio Evaluation" selected? If not, use "Change" to select it.If this doesn't resolve the problem, then please send a screen shot of the Help > Arm License Manager dialog.Hope this helpsStephen
it is activited,
but the same error still occur when I tried to reboot it.
It is the same error as my last reply.
And when I follow this link:Hardware Library (HWLibs) | Documentation | RocketBoards.org of the cyclone V part,
In part 10:
it chose Altera> bla bla
Here is my debug:
1. there is no Altera any more.
2. My Dstream family can't find any device
Here is my board connection. All the devices are within the kit.
Could you please tell me what is that vm10-sj-socbs5 is?
Hi again AlexArm DS offers these different licensing levels: Gold, Silver, Bronze, Evaluation. An Evaluation licence provides a full-featured Gold licence, but time-limited to 30-days.The licensing level you require is selected in Help > Arm License Manager in the "Active Product".When Gold is selected, the license feature "ds_suite_rowan" is checked in the license. When Evaluation is selected, the license feature "ds_suite_eval" is checked in the license. So I think you must have Gold selected in Active Product. Please can you check again? It should look like this:The license path in the error message in your screenshot refers to another license: c:\program files\arm\licenses\license.dat.That looks like an old license from an old toolkit. Suggest you delete/move it.Regarding your other questions:Altera is now part of Intel, so the patform name "Altera / Cyclone V SoC..." in Arm DS has been changed to "Altera / Cyclone V SoC...".What debug hardware are you using? I don't see a DSTREAM-family device in the photo of your hardware. Here's a description of DSTREAM-ST: https://developer.arm.com/Tools%20and%20Software/DSTREAM-STThe "vm10-sj-socbs5" is the IP address of the DSTREAM unit of the person who wrote the RocketBoards blog.Hope this helpsStephen
It works, thank you for your help.
I used the USB-Blaster to link the hardware and changed the license, it turns out the IDE chose the Golden edition license for 20.0 but not the evaluation edition.
