Problem using activation code for community edition

I have recently purchased the SocKit development platform from terasic and am trying to get the DS-5 community edition environment up and running.  I have got the activation code from the community site and when I attempt to login it fails with:

"Unable to login.  Check email address and password are correct"

I am able to login from the Welcone to DS-5 screen so I know its not an issue with the network or proxy, etc.  Also I know my login details work as they work when I sign in from the welcome screen.

Any ideas?  I have just spent £200 on the SocKit board so am a bit disappointed I can't make any progress with this right now.  Diagnostic info is below:

Regards,

Scott

  • OK, I've just downloaded and installed the same package from the Altera website. The first time I opened it, it brought up a vanilla version of Eclipse which was odd, but it's working fine for me now. Once you start DS-5, you should see a welcome screen that looks like this:

    welcome_screen.png

If this is the case, then you should be able to get to the license manager through the help menu. If you don't see this then let me know.

    Thanks,

    Joe
