First of all, I know pop-up surveys can be distracting—especially when you are in the middle of something important. We have heard that feedback loud and clear. This year we are using a different survey tool which I hope will be less invasive on your screen when it appears.
That aside, I am very happy to announce the 2025 Arm Community survey is live. Our annual surveys are so important to helping us deliver a better experience to everyone in our developer ecosystem. We use them because your feedback helps us improve the Arm Community for everyone. It helps us fix what is not working, add the content you need, and improve your overall experience. We are also working on less interruptive ways to collect feedback—because your time matters.
This year the survey will appear as a small pop-up in the bottom right side of your monitor so it is less intrusive than being front and center as was the case last year.
If you see the survey, I really do appreciate it if you could take a minute to share your thoughts. Your feedback helps us improve the Arm Community for everyone. But if it is not a good time, no worries—just close it and carry on.
Last year we focused on member satisfaction. We wanted to see how we compared to the previous year after making some changes to how the Arm Community was structured. We received responses from 34 countries across the globe, which is a testament to the work we have done to make this site and its content as accessible and concise as possible.
We asked members to rate their experience on a 1–5 scale. The average rating improved from 3.9 to 4.3 out of 5. Notably, 80% of respondents rated us 4 stars or higher, showing continued confidence in the platform
We then asked how likely are you to recommend the Arm Community to someone else? This 1-5 star rating question saw an increase from 4.0 to 4.3 out of 5, reinforcing that you not only value the community themselves but are likely to advocate for it among peers. Nearly three quarters of you marked 5 out of 5 for this question which is amazing.
I want to highlight some feedback here on improvements we can make to the Arm Community. We received feedback that the design and user experience (UX) is not as good as it can be. If you are reading this blog post you may have noticed that the Arm Community homepage looks different to others areas of the site at time of writing. The reason for this is that we are completely overhauling the design and operation of the platform.
Read this blog post explaining the changes that have happened and what is coming in the future.
This year we are focusing on content and its impact on enabling our developer ecosystem to succeed. We want to understand what content is most useful to you when you are visiting us. What barriers you are coming up against, reasons for participation, and what activities we should be focusing on that are relevant to your needs.
Finally, we are placing a large focus on our Arm Developer Program in the coming months. The benefits of joining include growing your career, advancing your software applications with the latest developer resources, and connecting with Arm experts and other like-minded peers.
I will share the results of the survey towards the end of this summer.
Your feedback shows us what is working, what is not, and where we can improve. Your feedback helps us understand what is working, what is not, and where we can do better. It helps us improve content, fix usability issues, and better support developers like you. Every response helps shape a more useful and inclusive community, built around what you need. By sharing your voice, you are helping us build something better together.
If you have any questions please leave them in the comments below and I will answer them.
Many thanks
Oli
