I have design SOC in system canvas . its build successfully on ISIM and cadi target but when I import in DS Eclipse it shows error
I am adding.exe file
Hi Tehreem,
Let me confirm you are referring to the Arm Fast Model system canvas (sgcanvas) and you are building a custom Fast Model system (isim_system).
Connecting DS-5 to a custom Fast Model system is described in this article:
https://community.arm.com/tools/b/blog/posts/using-arm-ds-5-debugging-with-custom-arm-fast-model-systems
Let me know if you have any questions on the details.
Thanks,
Jason
I am following this link that you give . but when I start CADI server I face this error
Hi,
If you are having trouble, I recommend to first start isim_system with -S to start the CADI server and check if the simulation is waiting for a CADI connection. If this works, then move to DS-5 and follow the "Browse" path of the article to find the running model. Don't use the "Launch" option since the simulation is already running. Use the -p to print the port number the simulation is listening to for the CADI connection. The output should look something like this:
# manual simulation start: $ isim_system -S -p CADI server started listening to port 7000 Info: m4: CADI Debug Server started for ARM Models...
Hi ,
sorry for disturbing you again .
I am facing difficulty in starting CADI simulation for custom design . cadi server starts for fixed virtual platform and show port number but its shows error when I start for custom SOC design . it gives error
The message, "The specified module could not be found." is a Windows message indicating it's not able to run the .exe file for some reason. If you search the web for this message you will see more information. You may have a problem with your Windows installation.
You can try one of the DS-5 provided FVPs to isolate if it's your machine causing the problem or something you did in creating the custom FM system.
Open the DS-5 command prompt and run any of the .exe files starting with FVP and see if they start up when you give the name of the .exe file from the command prompt.
