  • There are a couple of Android phones shipping using the Mali-G71 (Huiwei Mate 9 which has a Mali-G71 MP8, and the Exynos-based version of the Samsung Galaxy S8 which has a Mali-G71 MP20), and there will be many more over the course of this year from a range of chipset and device manufacturers. Obviously, as a commercial phone you get less ability to hack around, but get a mature Android graphics stack, but probably have limited access e.g. to OpenCL.

If you are after a development board, the HiKey960 board has just been released, and is based on the same chipset as the Mate 9 phone.

Linaro are providing Linux support for this board, and Google have added up-stream support for it not Android AOSP.
