Dear all,
Can anyone of you tell me if i want to work with Mali G71 as a Master thesis project what can i do ?
what project should I do ?
what hardware or software should i buy and use ?
Thank you all for your time.
There are a couple of Android phones shipping using the Mali-G71 (Huiwei Mate 9 which has a Mali-G71 MP8, and the Exynos-based version of the Samsung Galaxy S8 which has a Mali-G71 MP20), and there will be many more over the course of this year from a range of chipset and device manufacturers. Obviously, as a commercial phone you get less ability to hack around, but get a mature Android graphics stack, but probably have limited access e.g. to OpenCL. If you are after a development board, the HiKey960 board has just been released, and is based on the same chipset as the Mate 9 phone. www.96boards.org/.../ Linaro are providing Linux support for this board, and Google have added up-stream support for it not Android AOSP. HTH, Pete
