We are having a network problem with the pack installer. When using company wifi we see "OFFLINE" error. If I connect my laptop to my hotspot internet I do not have any problem. I can ask our IT to give access to certain servers(address's). Which address's should we give access to?
Since µVision v5.39, the Pack Installer component cpackget.exe is a 64-bit application.
If you are using an older 32-bit Windows version (not 64-bit), this incompatibility may cause that problem.
In this case, use an older version of µVision, or (recommended) upgrade your Windows OS.
We are using 64bit Windows.Actually cpackget works, with wifi connection other than my company wifi. I believe our IT restricted to access to pack servers. I believe that I just need to tell them which address or IP to give access.
This is of course another posssible reason :)
As Ralf already explained, the Pack Installer uses cpackget.exe also to check the online status. This command is used:
>cpackget.exe connectionE: "">www.keil.com/.../keil.vidx": remote server is offline or cannot be reached
If there is no output, cpackget has a connection to the keil.com server. If you see the error message above, there is no connection to the server. Please note that this URL can be redirected/forwarded to another location. Finally, cpackget needs access to many chip vendors, because the packs are usually hosted there. Maybe you have a mandatory proxy server in your company network. The page above explains how to tell cpackget to use the proxy server.

It seems that our firewall was blocking it. I do not see any error when I run "cpackget.exe connection".But I still see "OFFLINE" error on the pack installer.What other permission should we give or which settings should we do?
