Question has been asked before but many years ago without any resolution that I could see. I have a TIVA Launchpad and I get the error Could not find Cortex-M device in the JTAG chain. Tiva C LaunchPad. My device has been programmed before and still has the usual beginner flash LEDs program on it. I've checked switch to Debug. Still no joy. Any ideas ?
I'd like to know first how to check connection USB to board as I don't hear or see anything when connecting or disconnecting and this may be the first time i used this laptop, one of many I own, to program MCUs.
I have not personally used that platform, but from a quick search I found the below video.
Does this help resolve your issues?

I don't know which TIVA Launchpad board you have. Please note that the on-board debug adapter can be programmed with different firmware. The video shows 'Stellaris ICDI', but many boards also have a 'TI XDS Debugger' or a 'CMSIS DAP' firmware programmed. Check where you get a connection and then you should see a JTAG/SWD identifier on the right-hand side of the 'Cortex-M Target Driver Setup' dialog.
It is a EK-TM4C123GXL. I'm sorry Hans. I do not understand what you mean by "Check where you get a connection and then you should see a JTAG/SWD identifier on the right-hand side of the 'Cortex-M Target Driver Setup' dialog. "

Thank you so much, both of you for your continued help and patience.I'm a little foggy from some recent illness, so I'm not firing on all cylinders.
