My source files are structured in multiple folders, some are in sub-folders. For example: /Source_Files /Source_Files/Algorithm1 /Source_Files/Algorithm1/Filter /Source_Files/Algorithm1/Transform
I would like the Project view in uVision to reflect the directory structure.
Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that I can add a Group under another Group.
Has anyone tried to do something similar?
Thanks.
Bradford,
I am sick and tired or uv4 crashing on me so often when I switch projects (particularly if they contain many files). Also, the common problems with display of automatic variables stored on the stack have not been resolved (despite me providing Keil with at least one sample demonstrating the problem). AFAIK there is no open-source environment that allows debugging with ULINK products available - am I wrong...?
Tamir;
Have you looked at Keil's attempt to use Eclipse? I have not yet tried. Just saw several posts and wondered if it was real. I'm not talking about DS tools for Eclipse.
Bradford
All; I just quickly searched the forum for Eclipse entries. With egg on my face I declared I would post all my successes on building an Eclipse interface and I would hide my failures. You will note I have posted No sucesses. It was/is a very low priority effort on my part. But I remember some other news or articles that mentioned that uVision would have an Eclipse connection. I cannot find that article at the present time.
Yes I remember these articles. But then Mr. Keil himself said on the forum he ain't dumping uv4 in exchange for a plug-in...I doubt the wisdom of that choice, though.
I'm not too found of Eclipse.
But uVision could improve a lot with a changed editor component, and some updating of the project tree. Limited amount of work would likely be needed to make uVision a lot better. But right now, I don't think the IDE gets much love from Keil.
Neither am I.
"uVision could improve a lot with a changed editor component, and some updating of the project tree"
Indeed!
