hi, my cortexa9 target used to boot up to the cmd> prompt after simply turning ON the power. For some unknown reasons, it's now displaying the message 'Insert MicroSD Card and restart.' when I turn the power ON. From there, I have to push the reset button (black) to get to the cmd> prompt. Any ideas how to resolve this and get the original behavior back ?
Regards,
You think Cortex A9 and the probable existence of a display and a MicroSD card slot is enough information for us to know what development board you have, and what potential boot loaders, strap fields etc that the board may have to decide boot method?
Based on your description, there is one simple solution: Try again and again and again...!
it is very common and cordex a9 boards sometimes
check link 57 it must not be fit
and go to original behaviour
hi there, not sure where on the target this jumper would be and I can't find any schematics...any idea ?

You obviously need to contact the board supplier and/or manufacturer to get this essential information!
Without this information, the board is worthless - so, if you really can't get it, you'll need to get another board that is properly documented & supported.
None of this has anything to do with Keil.
well since it says http://www.keil.com everywhere on the board package and 'quick start guide' I figured I would ask http://www.keil.com directly. If you don't have a clue, that's okay. I'll give arm.com a try. All in all, this sounds like a simple configuration thing that anyone with a little board experience might have come across already.
Note that this is an end-user forum. So to ask Keil directly, you shouldn't post on this forum, but instead contact Keil support.
OK, fair enough.
But remember that you're the only one that can see the board and its packaging - all we can see is what you put in your posts!
If it's a Keil product, you should be able to find the details here: http://www.keil.com/product/
It might be that it's an ARM product (or even someone else's product), and they're just recommending (or used) Keil tools.
Anyhow, see the links at the foot of the page for Keil contact details...
