DStream not showing up in Firmware Installer

I have my new DStream-ST connected to USB. Windows reports a problem with the device, and it doesn't show up in the Browse window of the HW Firmware Installer. I tried resetting to factory defaults without success. Is there anything else I can try?

Thanks Stuart. That's a good link. After going through all that, I believe I have a defective DStream, and I will pursue it though customer support.
