DS-5 : license transferable...?

Is ARM DS-5 license transferable ?

As I understand, DS-5 product is outdated now, and , ARM rolled out some updated development studio or IDE.

Perhaps, someone will want to sell their "old" DS-5. And I might be interested - looking for one with full bare-metal support for all Cortex-M targets, and _bare_metal support for Cortex-As.  (at least A5, A7, A9..).

I might be dreaming, but I thought, perhaps it is possible to buy "second hand" DS-5, for much much cheaper ..

  • Hey Ronan,

No it won't :)    I have used DS-5 Community enough that I wouldn't need to evaluate.

Also , I would like to skip ARM CC if possible, and, anything else that I would cut down costs on.  But, baremetal debug is a must, and hopefully not limited to DSTREAM debug probe.

Speaking of which , is DSTREAM locked to DS-5?   Can I use that hardware debug probe without DS-5? Does it have say GDB protocol support?
