timing diagram

Hi All,

Is there any CHI timing diagram ? I can not find it in the spec

    In this figure, I am bit confused. For example: when HN receive read shared operation, HN can send comp data next cycle or next few cycles in the figure? I wonder RN send operation to HN, then RN can receive response next cycle? thank you

  • In that example, the earliest the HN could provide CompData (or any other response) is the next cycle. However, in practice, that is highly unlikely. Home components are complicated blocks that will have a range of control (and most likely storage logic). You'd expect the incoming request to cause a look up of some kind in a local cache, which will take a few cycles at least. It is more likely that a response will be given a number of cycles later
