corstone-201 RTL generation

Dear all,

I am working on generating the top-level RTL for the Corstone-201 subsystem as per the guidelines provided. While most of the required tools and prerequisites are available in my RHEL environment, I am facing challenges with the following tools:

  1. PHP 5.6: Installation is not successful due to numerous dependency conflicts on my RHEL system.
  2. Xalan: Similar issues arise during the installation process, with many dependencies being difficult to resolve.

I would like to understand the following:

  • Are PHP 5.6 and Xalan critical for the successful generation of the top-level RTL?
  • If they are required, could you suggest alternative versions or approaches to resolve the dependencies?
  • If not critical, are there any workarounds or steps I can take to proceed without these tools?

Your assistance on this matter would be highly appreciated.

Environment Details:

  • OS: RHEL 8.4 or above
  • Corstone-201 Implementation Target: GF 55nm LPX
  • Tools: Synopsys EDA tools, Xilinx Vivado
