I'm creating a bare metal program on Cortex-A7,Then, a bit 30 of MPIDR, that is 'U', is '0'.
Could anybody tell me how to make the bit be '1'?
Thank you.
You can't.
"The MPIDR characteristics are:Purpose Provides an additional processor identification mechanism for scheduling purposes in a multiprocessor system.Usage constraints The MPIDR is:• A read-only register."
I'm reading "Individual processor shutdown mode" in DDI0464F_cortex_a7_mpcore_r0p5_trm.pdf.
How about shutting down power to three cores except for one?
Does it make a sense?

On most systems, only the primary core boots. So if you do not start the other cores (the "how" depends on your SoC) you running single-core.
