All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of Education, India, Arm Education and STMicroelectronics are organizing “Session on Sustainable Development Goals” as part of the 3rd edition of the contest "The Inventors Challenge - 2024."

Join this session to find out more about Sustainable Development Goals from Fran Baker, Director of Sustainability and Social Impact.

Fran Baker is Director of Sustainability and Social Impact at Arm, a world-leading semiconductor and software design company. Her work focuses on extending the benefits of technology to people and areas not currently prioritized. Working with impact partners on worldwide programs, from social entrepreneurs to global organizations, Fran drives an impact strategy designed to deliver inclusive innovation through technology. Through this approach, she surfaces, catalyzes, and optimizes new opportunities, partnerships, and insights for social and sustainable impact at scale where technology can play a role. Fran has recently completed the inaugural AI Ethics & Society Masters program at the university of Cambridge and continues her work as an independent researcher focusing on the sustainability of AI. In 2024, Fran has been recognized on the ‘100 Brilliant Women in AI ethics’ list and was a finalist in the Everywoman in technology ‘Tech for Good’ Award.

 Fran and Rosalie will share more information on the Sustainable Development Goals, how technologies and AI can contribute towards addressing inequalities and the climate crisis, and Arm's approach to Sustainability and Social Impact.
