Hi there,
I don't remeber where i have read that but it seams that :
The next step evolution of windows on ARM will close the door at all the devboardbased on cortex A72, with requiering an hardware Arm V8.1 processor.
Is that true ?
Regards,
Hi Jerome,
I think you would find this session from last week's MS Build event very informative!

Hi Ronan, indeed it was interesting, thank's a lot for this sharing."A strange feeling in my mind"I have the feeling of the discovery of arm processor by Jensen, but with people of Microsoft (laught)All aboard ! The train arm is not stoppable Jérôme
That's a little bit strange thinking Cortex A55, may be always usable than the cortex A72 will not be in this ?!Isn't it ?
The direct answer is that windows 11 requires LSE which is a Arm v8.1 feature not available on Cortex-A72. See:
Windows 11 Minimum HW requirements.
See section 3.5: "Supports PF_ARM_V81_ATOMIC_INSTRUCTIONS_AVAILABLE instruction set (for ARM64 processor)"
That's what i a read also... :(
