Newbie here. Installed the MDK v5.42 version.
I see the "Evaluation version" mentioned here:
But when I try to compile my first program, it says
I don't see what to infer from the links pointed to in the error messages. Searching the community has been of little help either.
Please, can someone point me to a list of steps that work? TIA!

Could you please point me to the resources on how to enable this "supplied Arm Compiler 6"?
Even if I choose the "Unspecified: use the latest compiler version 6" or "V6.23" options, all I see is this "Missing: compiler version 5" drop-down list.
I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the Keil uVision 3 times. Even went to the extent of cleaning up the Windows registry before my latest install attempt.

Hello, I now understand why you are having issues.
I see you are using LPC2378. This device uses the ARM7TDMI-S processor, which is not supported by Arm Compiler 6.

Unfortunately the only solution would be to purchase MDK Professional Edition, and enable a 'legacy' license:
