Newbie: I can't get an evaluation license

Hello

Newbie here. Installed the MDK v5.42 version.

I see the "Evaluation version" mentioned here:

But when I try to compile my first program, it says

I don't see what to infer from the links pointed to in the error messages. Searching the community has been of little help either.

Please, can someone point me to a list of steps that work? TIA!

  • You can only use the supplied Arm Compiler 6 with the Community License.

    Arm Compiler 5 is a very old compiler, obsolete for many years, and is not supported by the "user-based licensing" technology as implemented in the Community Edition.

    If you purchase MDK Professional Edition you can enable the old compiler, but not with the free tools.
