With my Keil UlinkPro debugger I am getting the error message "Firmware Download Failed". What is wrong and how can I fix it?
I know there is no repair service available (which is very poor), that is why my question was if exchanging the USB Peripherial Controller would solve the problem. I would rather excahnge a chip myself for $20 rather than buy a new debugger for over $1000.
The official solution to a problem for which our Troubleshooting Guide reports an error code is to exchange the ULINKpro debug adapter.
Of couse ARM wants me to buy a new debugger, its more profit for them. Profit seems more important than customer service. The problem is we have 3 debuggers with the same problem, so it would seem a weak design that is going to cost us a lot of money.
Since "exchange" was mentioned, why don't you open a support case and try that? (Not another forum post)
A support case will not result in a different answer by our Team, Grant B
Thanks Ralf. I guess I misinterpreted "exchange" as meaning "return to arm for replacement" instead of "swap out with a newly purchased one".
My question still remains unanswered: Does replacing the USB Peripherial Controller solve the problem?
I am sorry, amanning, but since no ULINKpro repair service exists, we can't answer this question.
