Hi,
Last night I had saved the project I was working on and when I opened it today, I found that my main.c file is corrupted. It appears to be an endless string of NUL. This is the second time its happened to me now and I don't really know what I'm doing wrong. I've been able to save it successfully before without it being corrupted so I don't know what would be causing this. Anyone have any suggestions to recover the file and/or prevent this from happening again?
Is the file actually corrupted, or is it just uVision that 's failing to handle it properly?
It's actually corrupted. Won't open in any editor I've tried. I've only recently started using uVision and I've never had files corrupt on me like this before using it.
Is this on a network drive or USB stick? In a regular directory/folder on your system, or desktop or other virtual one.
This is not likely a Keil specific failure, but one on an OS level. AV software?
Type of computer? OS?
Hi, sorry for not getting back to you sooner.
The file is on a local PCIe SSD and it's located in a standard directory on my system.
My computer is a Lenovo Legion 5 with a Ryzen 5 4600H processor and its running Windows 10. The only AV software I have is Windows Defender
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
