EPM900 Bootloader not running!

Dear experts,

I'm in trouble now.

my Keil EPM900 has gone hail-wire I guess.

The message that I get whenever I try to put it into debug mode, says ' EPM900 boot loader is not running'. Tried to do as per the warning message said to hard discon and reconnect using INT clock or EXT clock, but still it doesn't work anymore.

Can anyone assist in telling me do I refresh the bootloader of the EPM900?? or any suggestion to help it to run again??

appreciate some good advices!!

troubled,
JM

  • Please check the following:
    - disconnect the EPM900 from USB
    - select the internal RC as clock source:

    Options->Debug->Use EPM900 -> Settings -> Oscillator -> Internal RC
    Oscillator
    - after about 10 seconds reconnect EPM900
    - check the EPM900 in µVision:
    Options->Debug->Use EPM900 -> Settings

    If both serial number and Bootloader ID are displayed, invalid clock source has been the cause of the problem. If the Bootloader ID fails, there is a problem with the Bondout chip and it needs to be replaced to fix the problem.
