I am thinking about upgrading to a ULink PRO. Is it faster downloading to Flash than the regular ULink2?
My main concern is: How long does the battery last on the ULINK PRO? In other words, what is the life expectancy of the ULINK PRO?
This is since the battery can not be replaced, and it seems the Ulink PRO dies when the battery is empty.
It's easy to replace the battery. But (!!!) if you just replace the battery, the unit loses the battery-backed information and becomes a waste of space since it's too small for use as a bookend.
Note the explicit warning on this page: www.keil.com/.../ulinkpro_hardware.htm
In theory you can replace the battery if you do it before the voltage drops - but you need to solder in some wires with a suitable series resistor to an alternative power source while replacing the battery.
Has anyone had to replace a battery, or had to return a UlinkPro for mysteriously stopping? - Keil mention it should last for the product 'lifetime', but do not mention what a 'lifetime' is.
