assosiate engineer

hello every one. . .
i am making project which is devices controlling through GSM and displaying the devices' on/off info on LCD.
please some one help me by giving information about that.

  • Why did you title your post, "assosiate engineer"? Does it mean that this is actually your job?
If that's the case, you are asking people to do your job for you!

"please some one help me by giving information about that"

  • actually i am currently a student of course "DAE" diploma of assosiate engineer so that's why it means that i am becoming an associate engineer. and in my learning session i've to make project so i've required details of that project.

    1) read the GSM
    2) decode it
    3) display

    two possibilities
    1) you slept in class or went partying instead of attending
    2) the 'school' is giving tests in things that have not been taught.

if 1) tough, don't come here and cry
if 2) complain to the teacher

  • "in my learning session I've to make project"

It's your learning - which means that you have to do the work yourself

"so i've required details of that project"

That is the first part of your project - you need to do the research and study and find the information...

  • A perfunctory exercise. Find the information ...

Skip that. An effective engineer is one who can find a better one than himself to complete the project within requirements and budget. It's all about social engineering now (or so it seems).

  • Oh dear - he seems to have failed at that, too!

  • So you don't know where to start with your project?

This is not an uncommon condition, especially in college or university; in fact it is usually intentional. Your professor isn't concerned with what you know about GSM or LCD or LMNOP, but with what you learn about them. Your professor wants to see if you can get yourself started and learn something, even get something working. You will be frustrated. You will feel incompetent. Can you get out of that space through hard work and perseverance? Do you believe you can do it, even if at first (second, third..) you fail?

This is the mental game of engineering, innovation, life. This mindset is worth developing, and a good university should be a supportive place in which to do so. Your professor likely will help you, if you ask in a way that shows you are trying to learn. I graduated from university in 1996 and to this day I often get frustrated, feel incompetent, and don't know where to start with my work. It means I'm innovating, challenging myself, and taking on real projects that, very often, are poorly defined. I keep defining my work, learning what I need, trying my best, succeed or fail, then start on the next project.
