Hi all, i am making a project where i install infrared sensors on the doorway and when a person enters, it senses and the light switches on, and switches off when the person goes outside. it is working fine, except if 2 people come one after another the light switches off, how to tackle this problem?????

Well you'd better get debugging, then!
Apart from you, nobody can see your hardware; Apart from you, nobody can see your software; Apart from you, nobody can see what's actually happening in your system when these people go in & out.
Therefore, apart from you, nobody has any chance to debug your system - unless you provide a lot more information!
the problem is that the sensor trips and switches off the room lights even when person who has entered the room is still in the room bu another person has came in.
basically, it cannot tell difference between 1 extra person coming in the room or the person already in the room leaving the room.
You better step up your actions to an urgent level. Start doing something. What is likely to happen if you break both beams at the same time? If beam A is broken just before beam B? If beam B is broken just before beam A?
This is not a site for doing other peoples programming/debugging tasks. Offer a reasonable amount of money, and people may bother looking closer at your problem. Professional developers gets their salaries from developing - why do it for free just for you? Because of your great charm?
Wait a minute - you do have multiple beams, don't you?
How about adding a movement detector to override the beams?

That's an absolutely basic design flaw, then - isn't it?!
Since it is fundamental to you system to be able to ditinguish people entering the room from people leaving the room, how did you design your sensor to meet that key requirement?
