I have bought a p89v51rd2 ic with small development board, for ISP programming, but when i'm connecting through the serial port its showing it is "not able to connect with given baud rate(9600), try with lower baud rate, and try to reset ISP." I tryed with all baud rate, but its showing the same msg.. can you send me the circuit of burner and its details.......
1) You do not supply what board you have bought.
2) What does the manual say that you have to do, to program the board?
3) You do not supply any information how you have made sure that you are able to send data to the processor, or that the procesor is electrically capable to send data back or how you know that the processor really gets reset.
4) Exactly how do you expect people to send a schematics to you? By doing ASCII graphics?
How are you connecting to the serial interface? Are you sure that the port you have chosen for communication is the port you are connecting the cable to on the host side? If you are using a USB-serial cable make sure that it shows in your 'Hardware Device Manager' in Windows.
There are a whole lot of USB/serial converteres that DO NOT WORK for ISP, at the Flashmagic forum there is a thread about which does and which don't
Erik
And yu would think that because they are USB/Serial converters they would be 'standard'
Oh, they mostly are. The problem is that ISP is not really a standard job for RS232 links.
USB simply cannot be used to fully emulate the behaviour of a PC serial port at any but the very lowest of baud rates. Some details of the timing will be lost. It's a matter of luck whether that unavoidable fact breaks a given application or not.
sorry, this time i'll expl'n u better, I have bought a p89v51rd2 ic with small development board, which was Readily available as “p89v512rd2n development board†@ there is no any manual for it, it is a local make it is a product of NSK electronics. To contact them there is no any contact details . to see how the board looks you can see at http://www.nskelectronics.com there u can find as 89V51RD2 MINI DEVELOPMENT BOARD Price: 200/- . and next is I waas able to program it for 3 times , but all the 3 times after around some 25 times trial was taken to connect it, once it gets connected we can read , program it, erase, but once if I press reset switch again the same trial should be made to connect it. The baud rate it matched was 2400, i am not able to clear the problem. the cable i am using is diret rs232 with 3 wires the TX & RX are connected properly, as i was able to program it for 3 times and again read it. but eveery time it gives a problem to connect and now it is not connecting. please help me in what ever way u can.
