I am using the C167 with 4 IR sensors. They give an analogue output and i connected them to P5.0 of the C167. I used the MEASURE program from the kit's CD and is able to see the voltage changes on the C167 thru the debugger. By pressing 'R' the entire list of recorded voltages get displayed on the screen. However, i need these voltages to be stored somewhere in a text file, or to get MATLAB to read it. Can it be done? Really appreciate it if someone could help me. Regards, TH.
The C167 knows absolutely nothing at all about MATLAB. Neither does it need to. You simply need to write C167 code to send the data to the UART. Depending on your specific requirements & target capabilities (about which we know nothing), this could be as simple as just printf.
What do I need to do in MATLAB then in order to read from the serial ports? I tried the function 's1=serial(COM1)', i didn't work, and i don't think it works that way.
What do I need to do in MATLAB then in order to read from the serial ports? Maybe you have to 1) Carefully read and understand the MATLAB MANUALS 2) Ask MATHWORKS SUPPORT for more help
"What do I need to do in MATLAB then in order to read from the serial ports?" This is a forum for discussing Keil sotfware tools. As has already been explained to you, MATLAB is not a Keil software tool: "MATLAB ... has nothing to do with Keil tools at all. You will need to consult your MATLAB Manuals, visit the MATLAB support site, see if you can find a MATLAB user forum, etc, etc,..."
If you want, drop an e-mail to my address and we can send you some info about how we did it. "stefano dot costa at bluewind dot it"
